Town of Bennington Meetings Index

Plans are underway for additional applicaitons for the Town, as well as a page generator which will display the minutes in HTML format, while providing a text download feature.

IRS Tax Calendar Link Page
Nothing puts a black eye on a web site more than outdated pages, especially when you are in the business of advising businesses.
When
Fisk, Reed & Love wanted to put a tax calendar that linked to the IRS on their web site, ISS created an always current page for them which updates the links based on the current date. This feature saves in not only future administrative and update costs, but guarantees a current site - keeping visitors coming back and confident in the services they will receive. Bennington Events Calendar
Keeping a site updated is hard enough for a web developer, but when you want your staff to be able to update your web site, creating database derived pages for your web site is a must.
Here we have created a program which is updated by the staff at the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce, which allows the site user to look at only the information from a particular time period, contained in the database.

Bennington Business Directory
When two different organizations want their overlapping information indexed on a common web site, only a specialized web application will do.
Allowing both the Better Bennington Corporation and the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce to maintain and post databases from two different programs and systems, this program eliminates duplicate entries and allows the web user to search for various businesses in the Bennington area.

Southern Vermont College
We created a number of custom server-side scripts for the college from simply processing forms to allowing the public relations department to create and on-line database of information and events at the college, as well as control panels for students to enter sports scores and more. Our current SVC project is to upgrade the alumni section in order to facilitate communication between alumni and improve the Internet effectiveness of the SVC Development Office.

CAT-TV
Simulcast Internet/Cable auction. Progam utilizes scripts on two different sites and servers to allow bidders to bid on-line as well as for technical staff to cable cast script generated images of auction status.

Santé Magazine
Here we created a number of programs which allow editorial staff to upload spread sheets from each issue which contain the information for their product reviews. The search form provides the user with choices from the databases to minimize fruitless searches. Additionally, due to the type of product, a key was created to convert coded characters into appropriate European characters.

Caribbean Deals
Custom order forms which integrate with a Verio secure server for processing.

Century Barn Antique Center
On-line administrative entry of items located at their store allows these local operators of an antique store to keep up with a constantly changing inventory from their vendors. Site users are provided with predetermined search choices.

Dr. Cue Promotions
This travelling artist needed on-the-road ability to keep his tour stop information current. We provided the on-line administrative forms to add, edit, update and delete tour stops, as well as graphical, chronological and geographical searches for site users. We also created a custom guest book which will allow Dr. Cue to moderate postings to his public web site. New features include the ability for non-technical site administrators to update and create web pages without knowing HTML or using a WYSIWYG HTML editor.

PMClay
Design by local designers, Spectrum Design, ISS was retained to create a number of custom server-side, dtabase driven programs on this NT server. A database driven bibliography, member listing, guild directory and class entries are all enable Precious Metal Clay to better serve their instructors and customers via the Internet. All directory and class listing entries are web based, and are automatically updated for the best possible results for site users. When possible, predetermined selections gleaned from the database reduce unnecessary searches.

Manchester Country Club
The club president can upload text files which are listed as links on the news section of the site and through scripts returned in site design HTML. Also, the pro shop uploads the weekly lottery created in a spreadsheet to the server so members throughout the northeast can search for their randomly drawn tee times. A simple form mailer also allows members to request a preferred day and tee time.

Student Source

Mary Meyer
We created Active Server Pages to monitor site usage by various sales representatives for this initial Sales Force Automation plan. Site designers need only include an Include on each page which should be tracked. Administrators can run reports based on period, pages or representatives and incorporate into local spreadsheets and databases for analysis.

Berkshire Entrepreneurs Network
BEN needed a lot of scripting to make their site usable for multiple administrators as membership and leadership changes. Using Perl, ISS developed web based forms for their meeting coordinator to post and describe meetings. Includes are used to automatically update pages with the next dinner and breakfast meetings. Additional server-side programming is used for the membership director to add new members, as well as members to update their own business information using an e-mail authorization - keeping member data private and secure, while allowing full control of the membership to update their information.
